National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodeler of the Month
David Crane, a Franklin resident and president of Crane Builders based in Nashville, was named the National Association of Home Builders Remodeler of the Month.
Crane has been extremely active in the Middle Tennessee home building community, serving as an officer for the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee for nine years, as president of the Remodelers Council in 2004 and 2005, and on the local Home Builders Association board of directors for four years.
He is also in his fourth year serving as chairman of the Certified Builders Committee of the local Home Builders Association, a program that encourages professionalism and fiscal responsibility among builders and remodelers.
Crane is involved in community activities, having worked with Affordable Housing Resources, which helps with community revitalization and in providing affordable housing, for 17 years.
He also serves on the Board of Hard Bargain Mt. Hope Redevelopment, a group working toward transforming the Hard Bargain neighborhood, the oldest and poorest predominantly black neighborhood in Williamson County, by restoring and rebuilding homes at no profit.
The purpose of the National Remodeler of the Month award program is to celebrate local, active remodelers who stand out because of recent quality work, customer service, community involvement, and dedication to furthering the industry. The winner is profiled in Qualified Remodeler magazine.
